Chief Corporal Hazim Ridha Attia
This Iraqi M80 helmet was brought back from Desert Storm by a member of the U.S. 1st Armored Division, likely from the Battle of Medina Ridge on February 27th, 1991. It is fully named to a Chief Corporal Hazim Ridha Attia of 2nd Company, Al E'izz Tank Battalion. This battalion was part of the 2nd Republican Guard Armored Brigade, Al Medina Armored Division, which was one of the few Iraqi units to have put up a strong resistance to the Coalition in 1991 and played a part in stopping their advance into Iraq. It is unknown whether Chief Corporal Attia survived the war.
